Naturally Outdoors would like to thank you for joining us for a fantastic season of hiking and paddling our wonderful area!
A few statistics about the year for your reading pleasure...
We scheduled 28 gatherings... 14 hikes & 14 paddles over 26 weeks between April 28th and October 15th.
We planned 2 doubleheaders, a hike/paddle on Amherst Island and a paddle/hike in Addington Highlands.
We only had one rain-out the entire year. We probably should have had a few more but we're stubborn.
We walked a total of 113km and paddled 127km during the year. Those numbers are completely made up but they sound super impressive, don't they?
Needless to say, it was a whirlwind season but one we absolutely loved! Steph, Harley & Rob wanted to say a few words of thanks to everyone that joined us on any of our gatherings this year...

I'd just like to say a big thank you to everyone who came out to our meet ups, whether that was one time or twenty!
To those who rented paddlecraft, thanks for your support and I hope it instilled a love of paddling in you all. For those who joined the hikes, I hope you were inspired by just how much beauty we have around here that you continue to explore the area and have the confidence to tackle longer or more challenging trails.
This was a wonderful inaugural season and hopefully the first of many more! Stay tuned for potential winter snowshoeing events.
Steph
I just want to thank everyone who has taken the time to join us at these events. We spent a lot of time coming up with ideas for locations and planning them all out, and it was great to see such positive feedback.
I enjoyed each event, but the best part for me was the socialization aspect – both during the event and afterward grabbing a drink or snack at a local restaurant. I had so much fun and I am excited to see what next season brings.
We will take a much needed break over the winter, but we may have a few ideas up our sleeves to beat the winter blues!
Rob
Harley & Steph stole every single one of my thoughts about what I was going to say about this past year so I have nothing else to add. Thanks everyone! It's been a minute.

With that, we'll put a bow on the 2022 season. As Steph eluded to, we may schedule a few winter hikes or snowshoe gatherings, depending on snow conditions are in January through March. Keep an eye out in the new year for any snowy plans.
So long until next year!

Any plans for a "green comet" viewing party at the Dark Sky area?!😀
