Join us at Menzel Centennial Provincial Wildlife Area near Roblin on Saturday, September 10th at 2pm. Back in the spring we hiked this 4.5km there-n-back trail on our first trail event ever. We liked it so much the first time, we're going back again!
Initially we were supposed to hiking in Flinton this Saturday, however, they're still in clean-up mode due to the huge storm that hit the forest back in May. Fingers crossed that we'll be able to visit these trails next year.
Menzel is located on Roblin Road, 7.5 km west of the hamlet of Roblin. There is no fire number to plug into your GPS but don't worry, you shouldn't have any trouble finding the trailhead. Just look for the vehicles parked along the roadside near the entrance. Here is a link to the location.
We still have some great hikes and paddles this season, including a couple 'doubleheaders'. Our first morning AND afternoon hike & paddle is on Saturday, September 17th on Amherst Island. You can learn more about this event and our remaining gatherings here.
