Hike with us at the HR Frink Centre on May 21st at 2pm

We're loving the turnouts at our events so far, thank you to everyone who has been able to make it out!

Our next event will be a hike on Saturday, May 21st at 2pm at the HR Frink Conservation area, located at 381 Thrasher Road in Plainfield, just a few minutes north of Belleville. This conservation area has hiking trails on both the north and south side of Thrasher Road, with parking on the south side.

Although not in Lennox and Addington County, it is just a short drive away, and a popular destination for local school groups, residents, and visitors alike. It will be one of the easier hikes we will experience this summer but will not lack in nature viewing.

We will hike the Boundary, Settlers and Drumlin Trails for a total length of approximately 5km. The Boundary Trail features a lovely boardwalk with a 360 degree wetland viewing platform, while the Drumlin Trail gives hikers views of the Moira River and takes them through a hardwood forest.

Keen visitors can also search for salamanders, wildflowers and 25 different species of trees. No guarantees you'll find a bull frog as big as the one Steph found on a visit here last year!

As we are a social group, you are welcome to join us after the hike at Signal Brewery, located at 86 River Rd, Corbyville for a beverage and snack. Our after-event gatherings have been very popular!

Remember to follow us on Facebook and Instagram. We post photos regularly and provide info about the events too.

Busy on the 21st? No problem! Take a look at our schedule for other dates that may work for you (with additional dates and locations being revealed soon). Hope to see you there!
