Our First EVER Event is on April 28th!

We're creeping up on our first events of the the year. Or, seeing that this is the very first year of Naturally Outdoors... our first events ever. We're super excited to get out on the water with everyone on Thursday, April 28th and on the hiking trail on Saturday, May 7th.

Our inaugural paddle will get us acquainted with the beautiful Napanee River. As mentioned, it happens on Thursday, April 28th at 6:30pm at the Centre Street boat launch beside the Waterfront River Pub & Terrace in Napanee. Feel free to come a bit early to unload your vessel, and even earlier if you want to grab a bite to eat at the pub beforehand.

For those of you that don't have your own kayaks, we're excited to announce that Riverbank Rentals will be returning to the their familiar location by the launch. Owner Harley Cunningham is optimistic that she'll have some kayaks and paddleboards available in time for our first event. If not, rentals will definitely be available for our second paddle at this location at the end of May.

We're planning on an easy paddle up and down the river and should be back in an hour or so. Remember, our events are all casual, easy-going affairs where socializing is just as important as the activity. That said, we hope that everyone will work up enough of a sweat to require a thirst-quenching beverage at the pub afterward. Again, we're emphasizing social here.

Our first hike takes place on Saturday, May 7th at 2pm at Menzel Centennial Provincial Wildlife Area just west of Roblin. It's a nice, easy 4.5 km hike that we imagine will be rather sloppy in spots, given the wet weather that typically comes with this time of year. Note: Don't wear white shoes, because you'll wreck 'em.

Like our paddles, our hikes are easy-going affairs. They're open to everyone, even dogs (if they're mild-mannered and on a leash the whole time). After the hike, we'll be assembling back at Shoeless Joe's in Napanee for a bite, and perhaps a drink. We hope you can join us.

No worries if you can't make it to either of these first two events... we'll have something scheduled every week from the end of April into October.
