Ready to get your feet wet at our first hike of the year? While we don't literally mean you'll get wet feet by joining us, it is entirely possible this may happen while hiking at Menzel Centennial Provincial Nature Reserve near Roblin.
We did, after all, get a ton of rain the last couple weeks. And there are some low spots on this 4.5km there n' back trail. So, what we're saying is... don't wear your fancy shoes to this one.
Will it be dried up by Thursday, May 11th at 6:30pm? We wouldn't bet on it.
Other than the potential of wringing out your socks at the end of the night, it really is a beautiful time of the year to hike at Menzel. The leaves are starting to pop, and the views through the trail will be especially pretty around the golden hour.
Menzel is located on Roblin Road, 7.5 km west of the hamlet of Roblin. There is no fire number to plug into your GPS but don't worry, you shouldn't have any trouble finding the trailhead. Just look for the vehicles parked along the roadside near the entrance.
We hope to see you there! If you can't make it out to this hike, no worries, we have a bunch more coming soon. Check out our schedule for more opportunities.
