It's time to get out on the water again this week! We hope you can join us on Thursday, May 12th at 6:30pm at the King Street Boat Launch in Napanee as we a paddle beautiful stretch of the Napanee River. As of now the weather forecast is calling for almost 'summertime' conditions! Much better than the frigid conditions during our first paddle.
This section of the Napanee River is one of our favourite spots to explore. There's plenty of parking by the launch, and even on windy days the river isn't wide enough to make paddling difficult. It's a nice, winding route with lots to see on both sides of the shoreline. There is also very little (if any) motorized traffic on the water so we will basically have the whole river to ourselves.

We will plan to be out on the water for about an hour and 15 minutes or so. That should give most of us time to get to the 401 bridge and back. It's about 5km round trip, but if you don't have it in you this early in the season you can turn around anytime.
Our post-event tradition continues... this week we will be heading to The Loaf N Ale for a drink or a bite after we load up our vessels. Their patio is open again so if we're lucky enough to get a seat we can quench our collective thirsts outside.
Note that there won't be any kayaks or SUPs available to rent this week. Every other paddle we are at the Centre Street boat launch in Napanee where you can rent one from Riverbank Rentals, while quantities last. But for this week... BYOV (vessel).
Remember to follow us on Facebook and Instagram. We post photos regularly and provide info about the events too. You can also share our posts with your friends... maybe we can convince them to join us for a hike or a paddle. The more the merrier!
Busy on the 12th? No problem! Take a look at our schedule for other dates that may work for you. Hope to see you there!
