Summer is here and it's time to paddle! Join us Saturday, June 22nd at Bon Echo Provincial Park where we will explore north Mazinaw lake and the cliffs of Mazinaw Rock.
We will launch at 11am from the Lagoon/Canoe Rental area just beside the Main Beach, in the day use area. There will be a day use fee to enter the park, and kayaks/canoes can also be rented at the park if you don't have one (depending on availability that day).
This will be at least a two hour excursion to give paddlers a good opportunity to explore the shoreline of the lake and experience the unique geology. We can decide as a group if we wish to stay out longer.
Afterwards, participants can then enjoy time exploring the park further, or meet at Addison's Restaurant in Northbrook for a beverage and a snack.
As of now (Wednesday) the forecast is calling for a little rain, but we won't let that dampen our spirits (a heavy downpour or thunderstorm will, however).
We hope you'll join us!
