As the calendar flips to a new month, join us on Thursday, September 1st at 6:30pm for a beautiful paddle on the Napanee River near Yarker. We'll be launching from the Curl Road boat launch and heading west.
Note that there isn't a parking area by the boat launch so you'll have to park roadside. There should be plenty of space just north of the launch by the intersection of the Cataraqui Trail and Curl Rd.
It's starting to get dark earlier now so we'll be out for about 60-75 minutes so we're back before sundown. If we had more time, we could get almost all the way to Camden East. I say almost, because there are a couple of low spots this time of year that unfortunately requires a short portage. Very doable, but not when we're racing the sunset.
It's hard to believe it's been September and we're already up to our 19th Naturally Outdoors event of the 2022 season. But don't worry, we aren't finished for the year just yet!
We have some great hikes and paddles left this year, including a couple 'double duty' Saturdays... hikes and paddles on the same day (with a lunch in between). One will be on Amherst Island on September 17th and the other in Addington Highlands on October (during primetime fall colours).
Check out our schedule for all our remaining hike & paddle dates.
