Spend a Doubleheader Saturday in Addington Highlands on September 23rd

Fall officially arrives on Saturday and we can't think of a better way to celebrate than to spend it outdoors. We hope you can join us in Addington Highlands on September 23rd for a paddle on Deerock Lake at 10am and/or a hike of the L&A Forest Trails at 2pm. You don't have to come to both (but you're more than welcome to)!

While the leaves won't be at their peak quite yet, we expect there will be some hints of colour that will make it well worth the trip. Deerock Lake is one of our favourite paddling destinations in the whole county. The view is spectacular in all directions and you'll definitely be snapping a bunch of photos with you phone.

We're also pretty excited to explore the L&A Forest Trails for the first time as a group. We planned to have this location on our schedule last year but last spring's big storm left a lot of destruction in its wake, forcing the closure of the property. It's all cleaned up now and looking better than ever. There are 10km of trails and we'll hike about half of them during our visit.

Between the paddle and the hike we will be either enjoying a picnic lunch at the Flinton Falls or perhaps some of us will head to a local chip truck for some fuel to get us through the day. We'll figure it out as we go.

After this Saturday, we only have one gathering left in our 2023 season. If you can't make it out this weekend, we hope you can join us on Thursday, September 28th at 6:30pm at the Centre Street Boat Launch in Napanee for a farewell paddle. Afterwards, we expect we may celebrate with a beverage or a bite to eat at The Waterfront River Pub & Terrace.

Hope to see you soon!
