We hope you'll join us at Sheffield Conservation Area for a hike on Thursday, June 8th. We're gathering at the Dark Sky Viewing Area parking lot, located at 7980 County Road 41 in Erinsville. We will be departing at 6:30pm sharp for a 5.6km hike through arguably the most beautiful conservation area in the region.
A few things to know if you're joining us...
This is one of the more challenging hikes on our schedule, so be prepared for some hilly areas and uneven terrain.
Since the hike starts at 6:30pm, we don't have too much time to dilly dally along the way. We will have to walk at a rather brisk pace to get back before dark.
We'll be in the woods and around water & swamps... a heavy dose of insect repellent is strongly encouraged.
You'll love your hike.
We aren't exactly doing the greatest job selling this hike, are we? We just want you to be prepared for what's in store, that's all. If you're up for #1, 2 & 3, we know #4 will be a true statement.
We hope you'll join us on June 10th. We have another paddle and hike still to come in June. Check out the schedule here. Our July & August schedule will be posted soon.
